From New Zealand to Australia to Venice,
California, Richard Clark continues to do what he loves - explore
his creativity through editing and story telling. Having won over
40 awards, including five CLIO's, over 30 Australian Advertising Awards
plus recognition from the DGA and CANNES Film Festival, it is clear
Richard Clark's editing skill and creativity is recognized and appreciated
by many.
A native of New Zealand, Richard has
always enjoyed creative story telling through picture and sound. Living
in Australia he became well versed in the art and craft of film editing
and post-production techniques. His Sydney based Company of 15 years,
Kiwi Films, had Richard traveling around the world, from Sydney to
Hong Kong, Wellington (NZ) to Singapore and Melbourne to Paris.
The challenge of Madison Avenue and
his love of New York saw Richard move to America to continue his successful
career, working on blue chip accounts for major international Agencies
and Clients. Three years later, in 1990, he moved to Venice, California
and opened a Film Editing Company at Venice Beach. Richard continues
to work and live in Venice where he recently completed construction
of a new Studio, filled with the latest and greatest film editing
technology.
Over 4500 Television and Cinema commercials,
a wide variety of documentaries, music videos, and two feature length
films, "Low Flying" and "Dangerous Summer," are
among Richard's credits. He has worked for Advertising Agencies such
as; BBDO, Saatchi, Y&R, Doner, Hal Riney, Weiden & Kennedy,
O&M, Arnold and many, many more. Clients have included; AT&T,
Coca Cola, Visa, MasterCard, Range Rover, American Express, Cover
Girl, Nike, Jeep, BP, Mercedes Benz, General Motors, Bud Light, Ford,
Air France and QANTAS, amongst others.
Richard Clark brings a wealth of experience
and creativity to the Baked Potato documentary project as a Film Editor.
His considerable story telling skills will help craft a truly engaging
and entertaining film about the Baked Potato Jazz Club.
